HEAT 1

Tommy got a great start in 4th through the first turn. Seely and Alessi passed by on the first lap, but Tommy retook 7th from Alessi on lap 3. Finishing a soild 7th, Tommy will need another good start in the Semi. The track looks dry and slick, especially in those flat, sweepers. Throttle control is key to a slick track like this.

SEMI 2

Tommy didn’t get a good start and tried to dive tight in the second turn but stalled it. Fortunately, Baggett got caught in the start gate and the officials threw the red flag for a restart. Tommy got a second chance to gate better but on the restart, he got pinched off going into the first turn dropping behind the pack. Working hard, Tommy made some great moves to catch-up to the top five to transfer.

MAIN

Tommy started on the very inside gate of the main to be able to slide underneath the pack in the first turn, however he got closed off and almost got caught up in Reeds crash on the start straight. Going into the second rhythm section, Bogel came up short while in front and crashed hard causing a big pileup. As guys were committed to jumping the section, the pileup kept getting bigger. Tommy tried to sneak by the far left side but had to stop as to not run over Bogel and Anderson who was on the ground. Tommys race didn’t get past 3 laps as he got hurt and had to pull in unable to finish the main. It’s been a rough couple of races for Tommy, and it’s unfortunate since his qualifying has been getting better.
