SX16 R9 – Daytona

March 5, 2016

Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Florida

Tommy Hahn. 20th. 1:07.953 sec

(Top Time) Eli Tomac 1:04.584

Tommy got a decent start, and was 7th on the first lap behind Brayton, and ahead of Reed. Running consistent laps through the rutted track, Tommy held on to 9th at the finish. The track is smaller and tighter this year making it difficult to pass.

Getting another decent start, Tommy was in 8th and needed to finish in 5th to transfer. Again racing against Reed, Tommy was in 7th to the end and will need to get top 4 in the LCQ.

Tommy got a good start, and pushed aggressive in the opening lap to get into 4th. With Cunningham and Reed at the front, Tommy gained another position to finish in 3rd ahead of Schmidt.

With the pack of the fastest SX riders, Tommy started in 17th and had a problem on lap 3 dropping him a lap down. Unable to continue, Tommy didn’t get a chance to complete the main. He finished in 22nd earning 1 point. Tommy sits in 18th in the championship standings.
